Why is there so many contrasting gospels in the world today? We have been told the word gospel means good news. But is it?

The gospel of the Kingdom of God is the truth about the Kingdom of God. This truth is good news for those who have chosen to come under God's authority. But for the others, it is bad news. First there is punishment and then Judgement at the appointed time of the second resurrection.
